Today brought a ray of hope for Les Bleus: Agnel on 1:47.11 at the helm of the 200m freestyle on Golden Tour in Marseilles and the women’s four-lapper won by Charlotte Bonnet, former teammate of Agnel and Muffat at Nice and on a 1:57.27

Very good times overall. Expecting more for today. At least a New world best on men 50 free. But cielo went 23.28 50 fly yesterday and today he Will swim 50 free. Manadou fratus or cielo with a New world best today for sure

In Marseilles quite a few swimmers down with stomach problems, I’m told, so that may well affect the speed of things, too – a few withdrawals today…
