Hard to think a tale at the Stockholm Open in April might top a 56.35 effort from Olympic champion Sarah Sjöström in the 100m butterfly. Then again… the Commonwealth crown may have been won in a high 1:45 today Down Under but up in the northern hemisphere at the Stockholm Open in Sweden we find Lithuanian European s/c champion Danas Rapsys in full throttle on 1:45.1 for a dominant win; and then there was Ukraine’s Mykhailo Romanchuk being trounced by 10sec over 1500m by Florian Wellbrock, whose 14:40 effort took out the 1991 German record of Jorg Hoffmann.
