Vladimir Morozov topped the world ranks for 2017 with a 21.44 Russian record that confined to history his 21.47 from world titles in 2013. That was the semi finals on last day at nationals in Moscow. He then wobbled and in the last solo final of the meet succumbed to Evgeny Sedov, the former world junior champion, 21.74 to 21.76
