Tokyo to host 2020 Olympics. Daichi Suzuki, the 1988 Olympic 100m backstroke champion, is the head of Japan’s swim federation and will now play a key role in a different kind of Olympic preparation 56 years after Tokyo last hosted the Games. In 1964, Japan’s 4x200m freestyle quartet war the only medallists in the pool, with a bronze for the hosts.

A right choice. It’s interesting if Tokyo is still willing to host the 2019 Aquatics World Championships if South Korea cannot receive the responsibility owing to the alleged forgery of signatures to their bid.

I think that it is more likely that Budapest would step up to 2019 and Tokyo take 2021 the year after the Games…
