Li Bingjie did not get to show all her cards at world titles in July when finishing second a few strokes behind Katie Ledecky in the second-swiftest textile 800m free ever. The Chinese 15-year-old, who was not selected for 30-lap action in Budapest, just showed her 30-laps cards: 15:52.87, an Asian record and world No 3 this year inside what it would have taken to earn bronze at global titles.
