The Olympic 400IM silver medallist Thiago Pereira has announced his retirement. The 31-year-old was due to make his announcement during the Prêmio Brasil Olímpico, in the Cidade das Artes in Rio de Janeiro, the event that will celebrate the achievements of Brazil’s best athletes in 2016, the year of a home Olympic Games.
