Sjostrom Ends Post-2009 Skid By Flying Back To Gold

For the past two years, heartbreak has been the theme for Sarah Sjostrom. There was a trio of fourth-place finishes at the 2011 version of the World Championships, followed by a fourth-place showing in the 100 butterfly at last summer’s Olympic Games in London. In Barcelona, Sjostrom broke her dubious streak, surging to the gold medal in the 100 butterfly.
