On her way to the 100m butterfly final 15 minutes later, Siobhan-Marie O’Connor, already on the team for her medal-target event, the 200m medley, presented the breaststroke specialists a sharp challenge on her way to a 1:07.15 victory in the 100m at the helm of a podium of personal best times.

But we have no qualifiers as of right in any of the women’s 100M strokes. Difficult to see why we’d select a medley relay. Unless SMOC swims the fly, breast and freestyle legs ☺
