The Paris 2024 Olympic Games bid team has rejected as unrealistic suggestions from IOC President Thomas Bach that the loser of the contest should automatically win the right to host in 2028. For the French capital, it is 2024 or nothing. Paris is the favourite to win the 2024 bid on a number of levels including the appeal of it hosting the Games 100 years after the last time round and the timing of events. Los Angeles, too, indicated the race was all about 2024
