If Katie caught a flu at trials and misses the cut I’m sure Dave Marsh and Bob Bowman can secure a waiver for her. suffice to say its not a bad idea to all but confirm her place for 200/400/800 free individual spots ; its all but a no brainer

I’m familiar with USA Olympic trials criteria; coaches can’t make discretionary picks; except for relays where anyone who makes the team can be chosen to swim on a relay (case in point Lochte swimming 400free relay ahead of Grevers) ~ London 2012; just a testament to Ledecky’s sheer dominance; of course she has to show up in Omaha and spectators will surely witness exhibition swims in her key events
