Britain took not a token team to Windsor but one without the biggest hitters from Rio 2016 – no Peaty, Carlin, O’Connor, Guy, Scott and the relay boys – but after Max Litchfield’s breakthrough silver in the 400IM, Molly Renshaw and Chloe Tutton piled on the quality in the GBR ranks with gold and bronze respectively in the 200m breaststroke.
