Canada continues to built a fighting force on the performance front, Mark Perry the latest mentor to join the Swimming Canada team as its first ever Distance/Open Water Coach.

Perry, who arrives after a period at the helm of the Britain open water program, made clear that the world beyond the pool is for swimmers of all realms – and offers great prospects for those in the distance ranks who may never have considered life on the open wave. Speaking through Swimming Canada, Perry said: “We are going to try and expose all our current distance swimmers to open water.
