Poland’s Radoslaw Kawecki had the race in his grip from go to a third successive gold in 1:55.98. The two times a world-titles podium placer is the first to win the crown three times since Russia’s Vladimir Selkov got his hand to the wall ahead of the rest in 1995 after wins in 1993 and 1991. The silver went to Takov Toumarkin (ISR) in 1:56.97, the bronze to Danas Rapsys (LTU) in 1:57.22
