USA Swimming sank Ryan Lochte’s hopes of defending his world medley crown at Budapest 2017 by imposing a ban on one of its star turns in the wake of poor behaviour on dry land at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. Now, two days out from the start of racing here at world titles in Hungary, FINA has sunk the Ryan Lochte turn with one rule and banned ‘fly swimmers dolphin kicking on their sides.
