Olympic and World champion Chad Le Clos put on a show of skill and force to fall just 0.03sec shy of his own world record for a 1:49.07 over 200m butterfly at the fourth round of the 2013 FINA World Cup in Dubai; That Le Clos, coached by Graham Hill, should be so close to his world-record form at this stage, given that his effort in Eindhoven was delivered on the back of peak long-course fitness and form, suggests that this season will witness the first sub 1:49 swim before the $100,000 overall prizes are handed out
