Katie Ledecky Forms The Triple Champion’s Club With Biggest Win Ever On 15:31

Katie Ledecky - warp speed ahead - by Patrick B. Kraemer

No, not the 15:25 world record of two years ago; not the same swimmer, either. Katie Ledecky is sturdier, older, more mature – and incredibly impressive. Today, Ledecky left the company of Hannah Stockbauer (GER), and Kate Ziegler (USA) in the club of double champions over 1500m to form her own VIP lounge for triple champions in 15mins 31.82. The silver went to Olympic 200m butterfly champion Mireia Belmonte (ESP) in 15:50.89, the bronze to Simona Quadarella (ITA) in 15:53.86.
