As much of the world focusses on short-course metres and yards events, double Olympic sprint freestyle champion Ranomi Kromowidjojo was among those testing themselves in the big pool this weekend. She clocked solid long-course efforts of 24.02 in the 50m free and 54.08 in the 100m free at the Amsterdam Cup. Winter in Europe but summer Down Under in the world of world 100m champion Cate Campbell and soon to be the world of Kromowidjojo’s former mentor Jacco Verhaeren; and Loughborough wins men’s, women’s and overall titles at Brit University s/c champs in Sheffield
