Olympic and World champions Katie Ledecky (Bethesda, Md.) and Ryan Lochte (Daytona Beach, Fla.) were voted Female and Male Athlete of the Year at the 2013 USA Swimming Golden Goggle Awards at the JW Marriott Los Angeles at LA Live Sunday night; no recognition for Missy Franklin’s record six-gold medal haul at world titles – and no recognition for the work of her long-time coach until this autumn, Todd Schmitz
