Eight Commonwealth champions will lead a Britain squad of 43 at the European Championships in Glasgow this August. University of Stirling’s Duncan Scott, the most medalled man at the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games, James Wilby, with a medal of each colour on breaststroke, and his Loughborough teammates Adam Peaty and Sarah Vasey, Ben Proud, Aimee Wilmott, Alys Thomas and Siobhan Marie O’Connor will lead the home-national shoal at the continental showcase from August 3 to 9. There is no place on the team for double Olympic silver medallist Jazz Carlin.
