Evgeny Rylov, who leave this teenager years behind this year, cracked the European record over 200m backstroke at Russian Championships in Moscow this evening, his 1:54.21 victory catapulting him up to world No1 on the 2016 rankings and up to No 6 on the all-time list.

Evgeny Rylov is peaking at the right time, and he is still 20, so he will likely improve more in Rio.
