The first two times Caeleb Dressel climbed on the blocks and chased national high school records on Saturday night, he came up short. On his third attempt, there was no denying the speedster from Clay High School. Competing at the Florida High School Athletic Association 2A Championships, Dressel lowered his own scholastic standard in the 50 freestyle when he went 19.29 on the leadoff leg of his school’s 200 freestyle relay.
