Bootsma Pops American Record; Plummer Gets Win

The backstroke contingent at the University of California-Berkeley next year will include Elizabeth Pelton, Rachel Bootsma and Missy Franklin. Heading into the United States National Championships, Pelton (short course) and Franklin (long course) held American records in backstroke events. Now, Bootsma can say the same after winning the 50 backstroke. On men’s side, David Plummer places on top.
