When the booing and jeering stopped as Rio waved goodbye to the Olympic Games last year, Yuliya Efimova* ploughed on regardless – and today we find her on 29.95 in semis of the 50m breaststroke and then 29.88 in the final in Moscow at national championships. Back she goes to the international realm in which last August in Brazil she became the most taunted swimmer during a Games in Olympic history.
