Welcome back champion, I have missed you.

So Cal Swimmer

I am with TommyL. I can’t wait to see what you come up with later into the summer.

Do we have any news on how rested either Agnel is or the Marseilles group?

Worthy of note that people like Manaudou didn’t bother shaving, which makes me wonder how much Barnier let them rest. In the past few years French Nationals has never been that first – though they always step up for the big meets. Wish Australia would take a page out of that book.

I like to think that they are rested. Maybe not Manaudou who is certain to be part of the 4×100. To be part of the relay will be a fierce competion with Agnel, Gilot, Mignon, Mattela, Stravius, Mallet and even Bousquet. Unfortunately, I believe that Manaudou opted out. For this reason, I do not think Barnier or Hortter would risk not to have his swimmers rested.

The Aussies have the same talent glut that the Americans have- a lot of events at the selection meet are deep enough that the stars have to put down a fast swim there lest they get taken out by a next generation lion or lioness looking to stamp their mark on national team and world.

Hkswimmer,

The Aussie top swimmers don’t have the luxury of coasting at their trials the way Agnel or Manadou are, or Muffat was.

Also, the aussies have a disadvantage that world champs/olympics occur during their winter time.

I don’t how if seasons affect swimmers much, but there you have it.

Swimming Mom

Aussie Female 200IM and 400IM not very strong at the moment, especially the 400IM. Stephanie Rice to me was the last really strong IM swimmer time wise.

I thought that girl something Blair from Perth had the potential.

But just like many other aussies top potential young swimmers, she just fizzled away.

^… Potential in IM
