WADA & NADOs To Talk Plans To End Feds Control; Rio Report Damning

The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has asked to meet the heads of the National Anti-Doping Organizations (NADOs) to discuss anti-doping reform proposals that aim to “restore confidence of clean athletes and those who value the integrity of sport” by strengthening and further empowering WADA as an independent global regulator that will takeover all anti-doping matters currently under the control of international federations such as FINA. The request to meet NADOs on the road to extending its responsibilities coincides with a damning WADA report into the anti-doping operation at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games

When something as simple as entries into the competition being screwed up it’s not surprising that something a little more complicated such as drug testing is also screwed up.


It’s an extraordinary level of incompetence and apathy from the IOC/management team. If they had wanted the anti-doping system to work, it would have done so. They didn’t care.
