Good news about Allison Schmitt. Good wishes are transforming steadily into good expectations. She started 2012 Olympic season almost with the same times.

Reading about anything the GOAT does on the way to Rio just sends chills up my spine. Exciting stuff.

It was good form for Phelps. He must be in a decent workload still, and that is what makes those world class times so exciting. Expecting him to be around the 1:54 mark on fly, and somewhere around 51.2. Anything better than that and we have got some serious times to look forward to in Rio.

Great swim from Brad Tandy. He has one of the meanest starts in the business at the moment. Obviously working hard to turn that NCAA crown into something special next year. Great fresh legs for RSA Sprinting.

Allison was consistent on the 400. My first reaction to seeing her win the 400 was “Progress, hope she gets back to 2012 form”.

It would be great to see her defend her crown.

What interesting about Schmitt’s not bad at all 4:06 time is that it is not only a substantial improvement unexpected at this time of season, but how flat her splits are. There were neither strong start nor strong finish. Like a training exercise.
