I checked that general information sheet of the Eindhoven World Cup. Is the information concerning prize money in 2013 Wold Cup accurate? I have understood that the overall prize money rewards for World Cup winners were replaced by the new cluster money system. The information sheet seems to suggest that both exist. I am sure all of these revisions are a good subject for own article with which there is no hurry :). Anyway, the new World Cup is looking better than the old one in many ways and I do believe it will be able to entice more top-notch swimmers to participate at least in one of the clusters: European, Middle-East or Asia. The excellent news that US team is going to attend is an indication of that. I am sure many of them will continue to Berlin since it may be the decision worth of tens of thousands of dollars for many US swimmers. The first cluster ends already at Berlin.

Makes sense to me that USA participates. Remember for many of the post-grad swimmers, this sport is their livelihood..opportunities to earn $, whether on US or European soil, should be taken advantage of.
