“It’s like a highly competitive training session for me. I am tired but happy with the result.”

That’s a weird quote after a performance so near his WC time.

If true, is remarkable the 53.92 in the 100 free by Zhu Menghui (1999).
Zhu Menghui swam a 54.14 in the leadoff of 4×100 free heats at Worlds in Kazan and now this first sub-54 in her career.

Sun’s time in 1500 free, 15.12.89, shows how this distance has really become less “friedly” for him as regards the years between 2010 and 2013 when Sun swam in every meeting under 15′.

Edit: less “friendly”

I can’t make heads or tails of what Sun Yang does in the pool any more.

It was nicely put, Luigi. The only thing that I don’t want to witness is a personal or medical tragedy. We actually know very little besides the clear fact that there is no transparency with anything related to Sun Young.
