Katie Ledecky hopped back into the pool after the defence of her 1500m freestyle title to take top billing in the 200m free semis in 1:54.69, the fastest time in the world this year. Daiya Seto of Japan headed the 200m butterfly semis in 1:54.03 ahead of defending champion and home favourite Laszlo Cseh.
