You’re missing Rikke’s 2:22.28 from Danish nationals from that list – http://livetiming.dk/results.php?cid=1457&session=12&round=F&event=71

Question: how Hardy could be the second in the world ranking with 30.24 if Efimova posted 30.12 at University Games?

Craig Lord

Yes – the meet was in our database but the lists for the previews had been generated around the time of the Danish nationals and one escaped update thanks 🙂

Craig Lord

Efimova’s time is in the ranks at the foot of the copy… the preview was written by John while Kazan was still underway… it has now been updated, Jessica ‘third’ on ranks. Hope that answers your question

I can only imagine the amount of work that goes into compiling these previews and they are very much appreciated, it’s particularly useful to have the best performances info as opposed to just the usual world rankings. Keep up the good work Craig and Co. 🙂

aswimfan

yes, these best performances are great!

Since teaming up with Craig about two months ago, I’ve been flying high and enjoying the sport as much as any time I can remember. It is a pleasure to work with someone with such a passion for the sport, who puts in the amount of time Craig does and who has allowed me freedom to explore some ideas and features.

A winning team. Swimming fans appreciate this more than you know. ESPECIALLY the in-depth articles of past championships and champions. I absolutely love it!

Craig and John,

The ‘tone’ of the reports since Swimvortex launched has been terrific; joie de vie indeed.

I was thinking that you could link up to the ISHOF and make available all the video footage they supposedly have – but never do anything with. (They haven’t updated the site for years in that category and some have wrong links). I would certainly be willing to pay to see things from the 70s/80s when we didn’t have VCRs.

Does the ISHOF have footage from the world championships in 1973 and 1978? I would love to see footage from Berlin 1978 not to mention I am still hoping to eventually watch Roland Matthes swim his 200 backstroke WR from Belgrade. I think that this would be a magnificent idea to link up with the ISHOF. I too would pay if need be.

I would LOOOOOVEEEE to watch the 1978 Berlin and see all those amazing performances.
