I’ve just read Dave Salo’s book “Complete Conditioning for Swimming”. In the chapter about injuries he described the case when one of his swimmers had to avoid pulling action for 6 weeks to let his shoulder recover. So this dude just kicked with fins for 1.5 months. Then he had just 2 weeks before the nationals, which should have been not enough to get back in shape after such a time without taking a stroke. Despite this he just broke his PB by 6 seconds in 400 IM.

So if the injury is relatively minor, I believe Ruta will swim strong very very soon.
