What a lovely comment to wake up to when tired but happily homeward bound and buzzing with the memory of all that flashed past us in this terrific city. Thank you for your kind words. Craig

Yes a brilliant effort as per usual. Always visit your site first for my swim news; your putting performances into historical context a big part of the reason. Keep it up!

Q: Any chance of a summary page listing All-Time Top 10 performers/performances (textile/all-suits) to complement your WR/TB pdf’s?

Academic but Aya Terakawa set an Asian Record in 100 back (58.70) leading off Japan’s 400 MR.

@ 29 she just keeps getting better and better.

Thanks for the great reporting this past eight days. With regard to the six golds for Franklin, a superior achievement, I wanted to mention that Caulkins did not have the benefit of the 800 free relay in 1978. Had that been contested, it is likely she would have been on that team (she was a superb freestyler as evidenced by her ARs in the 100 (78, 79) and 500 (79) SCY and in her leadoff of the 400 free relay at 1978 Worlds, the 2nd fastest time globally that year). The US women were on a roll and could very well have pulled off a gold in the 800 free relay too!
