The Professional Swimmers’ Association has issued a call to athletes around the world to become a part of an organisation that will represent their interests and reflect their views in the absence of any such forum in the International governance of their sport. The call, a day after Olympic champion Katinka Hosszu issued a rallying cry to fellow swimmers on the narrow issue of new World Cup rules that affect her potential to earn top dollar, coincides with Olympic champion Adam Peaty telling SwimVortex that leaders at FINA, the international federation, need to listen hard to the gathering roar of swimmers, coaches and fans.
