4’02″84 is the third best time in Muffat’s Career behind 4’01″13 set during french olympic trials in Dunkerque last year and 4’01″45 which is the time that brought her the olympic title last summer in London. Noticeably the time of her last 50 meters : 29″79, which is quite excellent. For Pellerin’s training group, the really hard work of 2013 season has started after the french championships (mid April). It will be very interesting to see how fast will go Kate Ledecky during the next us trials, considering that she might be the strongest opponent for the french girl in Barcelona.
