Morozov’s Own Missile: 47.62 For King Of Kazan

Vladimir Morozov [Giorgio Scala/courtesy, Russian Federation]

Just what it all means for World Championships in Barcelona from July 28 remains to be seen but as warning shots go, Vladmir’s Morozov’s 47.62 Russian record victory in the 100m freestyle at Universiade cracked through the air like a cannon ball on its way to the ears of rivals. Should we be printing a second membership card for the sub-47.5 club in which James Magnussen (AUS) reigns supreme as world champion?
