The heats of the 100m freestyle on day 3 at the Maria Lenk Trophy in Rio de Janeiro placed two Brazilians in the world top 10 for 2017 and two others into the top 30. Marcelo Chierighini booked lane 4 for the showdown in 48.46, his 25.29 the best return of all this morning, Bruno Fratus lane 5, his 48.50 off the best half-way split, of 22.78, the sole sub-23 in heats. That marked Fratus’ best heats swim ever. And Felipe Lima goes world top 3 on 27 flat in 50 breaststroke heats
