Liam Tancock’s racing days may be done but all that commitment and those countdowns to moments of truth are still coming in very handy. Take the past month: on a break in Bali, he asked for the hand of long-time sweetheart and former Commonwealth swim champion Caitlin McClatchey (and she said yes) and followed that up this past week by putting some new clothes on a baby he has from a marriage of a different kind, Swimzi. Swimming’s a family affair, explains Liam, in more ways than one … and what Swims aims to do is to give the swimmer a swimmers’ ID beyond the pool, in the classroom and on dryland wherever they go.
