Heading into Saturday night, Katie Ledecky had contested the 1500 freestyle infrequently during her already illustrious career. As a result, it’s been difficult to predict just how fast she could go in the longest event on the pool schedule. Well, after what Ledecky produced on the last night of the United States National Championships, we know she’s capable of doing something pretty special.
