László Cseh led the pace test at Hungarian Championships in Gyor with a 51.68 victory in the 100m butterfly ahead of four men on 53s and feeling the heat from a man with his eye on the Olympic podium in Rio come August.

Not only do Hungary punch above their weight, but it’s amazing how consistent the core of their team is. Obviously they don’t have the depth of some nations to compete for spots, but sometimes that can lower standards too. Not only are marquee names like Cseh and Gyurta performing year after year, but swimmers like Jakabos, Kapas, Bernek, Verraszto are turning up and performing time and time again as well.
