His 52.11 from Budapest was an absolutely stunning swim, it was an effortless performance in which he destroyed a classy field. He has not swim a 100 close to that since, hasn’t even looked like the same swimmer since & won’t go close to a medal in Rio unless he swims a time like that.

Felix , a bold prediction with much water to pass under the bridge until the torch is lit in Rio.

I would suggest past and current form will count for nothing this far out . The real threat in this that we are starting to see come through is Jack Conger .

Unless Gareth Parr makes a comeback he will be to bet on for Rio.

Peter, I remember back in 1997 that you predicted you would be the first man under 52 in the 100fly…..you never broke the 60. Your comments remind me of that infamous act of yours in a hotel room in Rotorua in 1996…..

Felix,

I have the ability to swim under 52 for the 100 fly , however being on a 400 medley 200 bk programme really held me back.

The nationals in Rotorua was a real high light for me , as was the camp at summer school and the comfy airbed i had .

Pushed 24.60 last night for my 50 free .

Felix

Phelps Cseh and Lochte have swum pretty decent 100fly’s on 400im 200bk programs….

Phelps, Lochte, Cseh.

400im & 200bk program……..not bad at the 100fly Mr P Nolgate Hodge

Felix,

A valid observation and quite true . My ability to break 60 for the 100 fly , was serverly compromised by my large nose which grew when i spoke .

This changed my stroke mechanics

It would appear your spelling has been as well, maybe you should stop trying to type with your nose, or return to Motueka primary.
