Not quite every passing race but all finals on the third niggt of action at U.S. Championships in Indianapolis rocked the world ranking and four of them threw down a No1 gauntlet with a hefty world-title-tilting thud: Chase Kalisz 4:06.99 in the 400IM; Caeleb Dressel, on 50.87 in the 100 ‘fly; Lilly King, on 29.66 in the 50m breaststroke; and Justin Ress, on 24.41 in the 50m backstroke.
