Another dominating Olympics coming up for USA

So Cal Swimmer

John, do you (or anyone else) know what phase Katie is in regarding her training? If it is a heavy phase and she did this with a little rest and zero taper, then the possibilities are limitless for the summer.

Katie got in some very good training over Christmas. The previous year she had been sick at the Duel in the Pool.

Does anyone know why Connor Jaeger is not listed as winning the 1500 on The USA Swimming web site for the Austin Pro Series?

Kat

Looking at the race footage Katie (understandably) looked very tired in the last 200m, her turns certainly weren’t as sharp as at PanPacs. Yet she still pulled out a 8.11! Astounding. I can’t wait to see what she can do this year when rested.

My first predictions for Rio: Katie Ledecky will swim a sub-8 minute 800 free and Michael Andrews will make the US Team.

Craig Lord

One of them definitely won’t happen, MPalota 🙂

Pvdh

She would have to average sub 4:00 400m splits for that. I don’t think that’s in play. 8:03-8:05 is more likely.
