The South Korean city of Gwangju will host the 2019 FINA World Championships after a ruling-Bureau vote in Barcelona on the day of the 2013 opening ceremony of the international federation’s showcase. Gwangju beat Budapest (HUN) and Abu Dhabi (UAE) for the right to stage the meet and becomes the first South Korean host of the championships
