Barcelona: Olympic champion Yannick Agnel shrugged off a season of controversy and doubt with a dominant 1:44.20 world title in the 200m freestyle that made him the first Frenchman to win the race since it all began in 1973; Conor Dwyer (USA) took silver in 1:45.32, Danila Izotov (RUS) returning to the same place on the podium he claimed in 2009, on 1:45.59; defending champion Ryan Lochte (USA) locked out

Amazing Agnel !!! nothing more to say, he silenced his critics !!

It looks interesting for the 4×2 relay though !

The US don’t have the same fire powere has before … I wonder if they will still win or loose at the touch Vs France or even Aus … who knows it will be close

I’ll be forever annoyed with that 1:42.00 of Paul Biedermann.

Bruno

pfff .. Paul Biedermann runned the WR with a WETSUIT never forget that…
With a wetsuit Yannick Agnel would explose the WR…

Mike in Dallas

Conor Dwyer’s 2nd place medal was a DELIGHTFUL surprise

Lochte? Well, it is what it is. Lack of focus? Lack of Prep? I don’t know.

But, this will definitely shake up the 4 x 200 free relay — but USA will win – for sure!

GO TEAM USA!
