Former IAAF Boss Under Investigation Over Alleged Bribe In Russian Doping Cover-Up

The extent to which world sports governance is a House of Cards remains to be seen but the wind appears to have gathered a p[ace fit to knock a few tiles off, to say the least: Lamine Diack, the former head of IAAF, is the latest big-name bureaucrat to face investigation on grounds of alleged corruption and doping cover-up. There have also been arrests among other leading officials on a day the offices of the IAAF were raided by police in Monaco.

I was speculating this summer that USAS might have been tipped off and told to go along with current FINA proposals lest they cause a fuss that would spook the accused in an ongoing legal investigation. Maybe I can take a layer off my tinfoil hat and there are still other things underway below the surface.
