World short-course dash champion Etiene Medeiros, of Sesi/SP, sped to the helm of the current world rankings with a 27.38 victory in the 50m backstroke at the Maria Lenk Trophy in Rio, while Nicholas Santos joined the dash party in Olympic city with a 22.90 win over World champion Cesar Cielo, 23.11, in the 50m butterfly, for No 1 and 2 rankings
