The team trophies for both men and women at the British University short-course Championships in Sheffield returned to the university that has dominated the meet for many a long season: Loughborough, the top swim among the winning team that of Tim Shuttleworth, an Olympic debut in the tank and now a 14:42.76 in the 1500m free treasury at Ponds Forge. Uni of Stirling teammates Duncan Scott (six solo golds) and Kathleen Dawson also excelled, he on 21.92, 47.5, 1:44.11, 3:44.42 for a 50 to 400m sweep, she on 27.45, 57.66 and 2:06.05 for a 50 to 200m backstroke sweep
