Gori

In fact, Australia swims in Budapest just before Britains, but for the fourth place only (its worst result since 1992).
The best nation (after USA) is Russia, followed by China.
Canada is tenth, its best world Championship since 2005 ; France is 13th, its worst since 2001.

Doesn’t work like that Gori… the article refers to medals tables: the medals table works on the first column first… Britain ahead of Russia… it has long been like that and there is good reason for it: first beats second, which beats third… etc… we can’t go re-writing the meaning of medals tables. Russia, CHN, AUS, etc … they are all where the table says they are 🙂 Besides that, at this site, the ‘best nation’ tally would not include those who fall foul of the WADA Code. So, those medals that sit on the dopers charter, will be marked out as such – and we make absolutely no apology for that. Clean sport – or nothing. It is very simple and no amount of objection to that all change out view. Sun*, Efimova* : such things are not representative of ‘best’ or ‘best’ nation. They speak to what ought not to be. Full stop.
