China Plays Down Prospects For Barcelona Worlds

I am always holding my breath when it comes to the Chinese. You never know what their performance will be like.
They never make sense. It is enough to make you paranoid. ;o)

Sam

You should learn to relax. It’s just a championship that you aren’t even participating, unless you have a chip on your shoulder. Jealousy is a bit*h by the way.

XtremePower

Lane Four, they actually make sense most of the time but then I am probably smarter than most people. 🙂

Craig Lord

I don’t think jealousy is what the reader had in mind…

I concur with Lane Four’s comment.

Yes, the chinese can be devastatingly unpredictable, but Sun Yang has been the model of consistency lately, so the 400-1,500 is a given (he’s not swimming 800, is he?), and Ye Shiwen is so far ahead the rest of the world I cannot see her not winning her IM events.

The Chinese have always been trying to underplay their cards, at the opposite of the australians for example who usually already counting their golds and medals even before olympics/championships.

as for 50 strokes events, I really hate to do prediction on those events as they are so volatile and definitely anyone can win and anyone can lose.

aswimfan

Oh, I just realised Yang is swimming 800 but not 200.

Yes, Yang will win 3 golds then.

Craig Lord

Sun is down for the 800 – China officials said he won’t swim but Sun said he will… according to Xinhua and others… we’ll soon see
