Very fond of Chad. Sadly we live in times where all of our olympic champions are under some level of doping suspicion. But there’s just something about Chad for me personally that gives me reassurance it’s all down to talent and work – maybe it’s the boy next door charm, skinny awkward frame, instinctive feel for the water and goofish looking around and goggles round the neck on the podium. Plus the fact that SA can’t seem to support their athletes to compete properly, never mind run a sophisticated doping regime.
